Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our inaugural ride will be hosted virtually. Riders will have the option to participate at the comfort level of their choosing, whether indoors or outdoors. While we encourage all participants to ride 30 miles with us, the distance is left solely to the riders’ discretion.
About the Event
Ride With Josh is an annual charity bike ride founded and orchestrated by A&R executive Sterling Simms, who lost his 19-year-old brother Joshua to diabetes. Engaging local communities to raise awareness, Ride With Josh will take place each June to honor those affected by the disease. Inspired by this cause, City of Hope has joined as a partner to elevate this cause and raise money for research toward curing this condition which affects 1 in 10 Americans. All proceeds from the Ride With Josh event will benefit the Arthur Riggs Diabetes & Metabolism Research Institute under the direction of Debbie Thurmond, Ph.D., the Ruth B. & Robert K. Lanman Chair in Gene Regulation & Drug Discovery Research at City of Hope.
